Description
Since 1912, the Burnside Fountain has anchored the southeast corner of Worcester Common in Massachusetts: a pink granite basin topped with a bronze boy riding a sea turtle, spitting water with an air of complete contentment. Known locally simply as Turtle Boy, he is technically a drinking fountain and spiritually a landmark.
