✂ Cricut Design Space

• Open Cricut Design Space and start a new project.
• Click Upload → Upload Image → select your SVG file.
• SVGs import as multi-layer vector files — each color or path may appear as a separate layer. This is normal.
• Resize your design. For standard designs, 5–8" works well. For complex/detailed designs, use 10" or larger.
• Select all layers, click Attach to lock them in position before cutting.
• Select your material (vinyl, cardstock, iron-on) and send to your Cricut.
• Weed carefully from the outside in on detailed designs.

⚠ If your design has very fine lines and Cricut is skipping them, try slowing the blade speed by 1–2 steps and increasing pressure slightly.

📐 Silhouette Studio

• Open Silhouette Studio (Designer Edition or higher recommended for SVG support).
• Go to File → Open and select your SVG. It will import as fully editable vector paths.
• Resize as needed. Use the lock icon to maintain proportions.
• For detailed designs, set your blade to a finer depth and do a test cut first on a scrap piece.
• Go to Send panel, select your material from the library, and adjust speed/force if needed.
• Weed the excess material starting from a corner and working inward.

⚠ Silhouette Basic Edition does not support SVG imports natively. You will need Designer Edition or convert to DXF first using Inkscape (free).

📈 Sublimation & Heat Transfer

• Open the PNG file included in your download (SVGs need to be converted to raster first for sublimation).
• Import into your sublimation software (Sawgrass Creative Studio, EasySubli, CorelDRAW, etc.).
• Resize to fit your blank. For detailed designs, bigger is always better.
• Mirror/flip your image before printing if using heat transfer vinyl or HTV.
• Print on sublimation paper and press according to your blank’s time/temp/pressure specs.
• For dark garments, use a white HTV base layer or choose sublimation-compatible white blanks.

🎨 Inkscape & General Vector Use

• Inkscape (free, open source) opens SVG files natively with full path editing.
• Use File → Open to load your SVG. All paths are fully editable.
• Resize with the selection tool. Hold Ctrl to maintain proportions.
• Export as PNG at your needed resolution via File → Export PNG Image. Set DPI to 300+ for print quality.
• To convert for Silhouette Basic: File → Save As → DXF.
• Colors can be changed by selecting paths and using the Fill & Stroke panel (Shift+Ctrl+F).

⚠ Size Guide by Complexity

All files include both SVG and PNG. The PNG is pre-exported at high resolution and is ready for sublimation, DTF, and print use without any additional software.
